Cell Matrix develops, produces and marketing transplantation products and laboratory services for Cartilage Cell Therapy.

Cell Matrix is located at Sahlgrenska Science Park, Gothenburg, Sweden. The company was founded in 2001 by Prof. Anders Lindahl and Prof. Lars Peterson. Their research since the start in the beginning of 1980's had an important role in the development of first FDA approved cell therapy for cartilage repair in United States, Carticel. Their original cell process and transplantation method HyCel, is today used at several leading hospital departments outside US for treatment of focal joint cartilage lesions.
